Welcome to the official Fresno Firefighters – IAFF Local  202 website.  The construction of the site is complete and new information is added frequently.  So, make sure to check back often for the latest additions.  We are very excited about our new website and believe that it will serve our membership well.  This website will be an ever-evolving and dynamic tool for the active and retired members of the Fresno Firefighters as well as the public.

In the near future, we hope to include additional features such as an expanded document and forms area, an online polling mechanism, and an online store.  Please feel free to explore the site and provide us with your feedback.

A positive industry trend. Strong work.

We use squads to absorb lift assists and non emergent BLS calls. 2 man. The problem is, they get dispatched and as the dispatcher gets more info, the call turns ALS and the ladder we are trying to reduce calls on, gets launched. Our Squads run 15-22 calls per shift. Fire calls only at discretion of Batt Chief. We are evaluating taking one out and adding an engine next to the ladder. Unfortunately we are in the same boat as everyone. Trying to hire has been difficult at best while call volume has gone up more than 20% year over year. We will keep striving for the perfect setup. If any of you find it, let us know. Good job Fresno. A step in the right direction.

That's the great Fresno Fire Department, Fresno's Finest.

Ooo Baby Squads:) They're so CUTE!! All that aside, i can see their usefulness and practical (ness / ability IDK)

😇🙏🏻❤️

Squads have been around for a long time. Think of the TV show Emergency!

Nice!!

Thank you to our IAFF leadership @iaffpresident @iaffgstlima for sounding the alarm and to @nbcnightlynews @lesterholtnbc @tomcostellonbc #iaff #ExtinguishCancer 🚒 ... See MoreSee Less
